Guide

Try a forecast scenario before you commit

Save your forecast changes as a named scenario, set its units, cash and channel cover beside the forecast you run today, adopt it, and switch back if it was the wrong call.

Before you bet on a bolder forecast, keep it as a named scenario. Skuvelo sets its order quantities, cash and cover beside the forecast you run today, and you adopt it only when those are the numbers you want to buy against.

Save a scenario

Open Plan alternatives on the Plan screen. Type a name — "B", "Holiday push", "Cautious" — and choose Save as alternative. Skuvelo keeps every month you have changed, for every item, under that name. The forecast you run today does not move.

Set it beside today's forecast

Choose Compare next to the scenario. You see, side by side:

  • Order units — what each forecast would order today across every item, and the difference.
  • Order cash — those units at each item's preferred supplier cost, per currency.
  • Cover by channel — days of cover on each channel the changed items sell on, when you sell on more than one.
  • Items that differ — order quantity and cover days now, and in the scenario, largest difference first.

Adopt it, and switch back if you need to

Promote writes the scenario's months into the forecast — the same changes a Save in the grid makes, so replenishment uses them straight away. If someone changed the forecast after you compared, Skuvelo asks you to compare again first, so what you adopt is always what you looked at.

Changed your mind? Undo promote puts every item back to the months it had before. If anyone changed one of those items after the promote, even with a change that starts later, Undo is refused rather than overwrite that change; edit the item in the Plan grid instead.

Who can use it

Anyone who can see purchasing can compare. Saving, deleting, promoting and undoing need the right to create purchase orders. Team members limited to one location or channel do not see scenarios, because a scenario covers every location.

Try the plan on your own stock.
