Act on Skuvelo's rebalancing suggestions
When one location is short of a SKU and another has spare units, Skuvelo suggests rebalancing before you buy. Every suggestion is listed in one place, and the buy plan shows each buy already net of it.
When one of your locations is short of a SKU and another has more than it needs, Skuvelo suggests rebalancing before you buy more. Those suggestions are listed together on Transfers so you can act on them in one place.
Where the suggestions come from
They are the same suggestions the buy plan shows in a SKU's By warehouse block. Skuvelo only makes one when the receiving location is below its own reorder point, the sending location is above its own, and rebalancing costs less than the sales it saves. See Two warehouses: rebalance before you buy for how each number is worked out.
Drafting a suggestion
On Transfers, the Suggested transfers section lists each suggestion: the SKU, where the units come from and go to, the reason, the units, and what rebalancing them costs.
- Draft turns one suggestion into a draft with exactly the suggested units.
- Draft all does the same for every suggestion you are allowed to act on. Suggestions between the same two locations share one draft.
A draft changes no on-hand figures. Units change hands only when the draft is sent and received; see Moving stock between locations. Once a suggestion is drafted it leaves the list, because the draft already counts as on its way to the receiving location. Drafting the same suggestion twice on the same day returns the draft you already made rather than a second one.
If a suggestion cannot be drafted for you, for example because your access is limited to other locations, the row says why instead of showing a button.
Your buy is already net of the suggestion
In the buy plan, a SKU with a suggestion shows a line under Then buy such as −15: transfer from West DC. The buy already leaves out those 15 units. Select the line to open that suggestion on Transfers. A SKU with no suggestion shows no such line.
