Email purchase orders to your suppliers
Send an approved purchase order to your supplier by email, choose the address it comes from, chase a supplier who hasn't answered, and keep your own copy.

Approving a purchase order commits the money. Sending it is a separate step: nothing reaches your supplier until someone sends it.
Send an order
Open the approved order under Purchasing and click Send to the supplier on its Supplier correspondence card. You need permission to create purchase orders. Once it has gone out, the same button reads Send to the supplier again. The card also lists what the supplier has been sent and what they have said back.
If the card says sending isn't switched on for this deployment yet, the button is disabled and nothing is sent. That is on Skuvelo's side, not yours: use Download PDF and email the order yourself in the meantime.
Where orders are sent from
Settings → Purchase order email shows the address your orders come from. Owners and Admins can change these settings; everyone else sees them read-only.
By default orders come from a Skuvelo address carrying your company name, and replies go straight to the buyer. The name is your legal name from your document settings, or your workspace name if that isn't set. Nothing to set up — this is the address orders use until you add your own domain.
The page shows the sender as your company name followed by the address in angle brackets, for example Meridian Outfitters <orders@…>. If it reads Meridian Outfitters <not configured>, this Skuvelo deployment has no sending address set up yet, so purchase orders can't be emailed from it: the Send to the supplier button stays disabled. That is on Skuvelo's side, not yours — use Download PDF and email the order yourself in the meantime.
Send from your own domain
To send from your own domain instead:
- Under Send from your own domain, enter Your domain and the Send as address, then click Set up.
- Add the two DNS records it lists (DKIM and SPF) at your domain provider.
- Click Check DNS now. The status moves from Waiting for DNS to Live once the records are found.
Until your domain is live, orders keep going out from the Skuvelo address, so nothing waits on DNS. Remove this domain goes back to the Skuvelo address.
If the card says this isn't available on this deployment yet, orders still send from the Skuvelo address.
Chasing and your own copy
- Chase a supplier who hasn't answered sends one follow-up after the number of days you choose (3 unless you change it, up to 60), and then stops. It stops straight away if the supplier replies.
- Blind-copy every purchase order to sends a copy of every order to an address you choose, so your records stay whole even if you leave Skuvelo.
Try the plan on your own stock.
