Restock Amazon FBA

How Skuvelo decides how many units to send to Amazon FBA and by when, from your Amazon sales, the days a shipment takes to reach Amazon, and the 28-day and aged-stock rules, how a send is drafted, and how your storage limit is shared out.

When you sell through Amazon FBA, your warehouse can be well stocked while Amazon runs short. Plan → Restock Amazon FBA shows, for each item, what Amazon holds, how many days that lasts on Amazon sales alone, and how many units to send and by when. The quantity is rounded up to whole cases and never sends more than your restock cap.

Days with nothing to sell

A day on which Amazon held none of an item, from start to finish, and sold none, tells you nothing about how many people wanted it. Skuvelo leaves those days out when it works out how much to send and by when, so an item that was out of stock for half of the last 90 days is restocked at the rate it sold while it was in stock, not at half of it. A day with a sale always counts. This applies once Amazon had the item in stock on at least 7 days of the period; with fewer, every day counts, because a handful of days is too little to go on. Days of cover and the 28-day status are not changed by this: they use the units actually sold, as Amazon's own figures do.

Shipping time

Skuvelo needs to know how long a shipment takes to be available at Amazon. Type it under Amazon settings at the bottom of Plan → Restock Amazon FBA, in the Days to reach Amazon box, and save. The row text Set days to reach Amazon takes you there. The same card holds Minimum days at Amazon and Most days to send, which apply to the whole workspace. Most days to send is at least 1 and cannot be fewer than Minimum days at Amazon: the card says so and will not save until it is. After each transfer Amazon receives, Skuvelo measures the actual trip and, from the second trip on, plans on what it measured. It reads the 15 most recent trips to each Amazon location, so an older route you no longer use stops affecting the number. Until you type a value or a trip is recorded, the row says Set days to reach Amazon instead of guessing.

The 28-day status

Amazon charges a low-inventory-level fee when your stock on Amazon covers fewer than 28 days of sales over both the last 30 and the last 90 days, and items selling fewer than 20 units a week are exempt. Skuvelo shows Under 28 days — fee applies, OK or Exempt from your own Amazon sales and stock, and Not enough history until Amazon has held the item for 90 days. Check the current rules and rates in Seller Central; Skuvelo does not state a fee amount.

Aged 181+ days

Amazon adds an aged-inventory surcharge to stock that has been in its warehouses 181 days or more on the 15th. Skuvelo works out which units will cross that age by the next 15th, oldest units first, and values them at unit cost. Units moved to Amazon when you first connected are dated from that move, so the count can be lower than Amazon's, never higher.

Type Amazon's storage fee, aged surcharge and removal fee under Amazon settings, and the aged column also says whether holding or removing those units is cheaper, and by how much. Holding pays the storage fee and the surcharge until each unit sells, oldest first, and writes off any unit still unsold at 365 days. Removing pays the removal fee on every aged unit. With a rate blank, an item's size or unit cost missing, or its cost kept in another currency, Skuvelo shows the units and their value only. An item with no size recorded reads Size missing.

Sending a shipment

Send to Amazon on a row drafts one transfer from your warehouse to Amazon for exactly the quantity the row shows. Skuvelo picks the warehouse you may send from that has the most of the item available. If you have no warehouse, it drafts a PO to the item's supplier, delivered to Amazon. The row then shows Draft transfer or Draft PO and its number instead of the button, and a second click never makes a second draft. If the figures changed since you opened the page, Skuvelo says so and shows the new quantity; press the button again to send it. Next to the button the row shows how many FNSKU labels the send needs and the inbound fee recorded on the Amazon location, or fee not recorded. Every unit needs a label when you tick I resell other brands under Amazon settings (Amazon ended commingling on 31 March 2026), and so does any item without a manufacturer barcode.

Storage limit

Amazon sets a storage limit for your account. Type the current limit and the coming one under Amazon settings, per Amazon location. The figure above the list shows the space your stock at Amazon, on the way and in open drafts takes against the current limit. When the sends would not fit, Skuvelo shrinks them, giving the space first to the units that stop an item running out and, among those, to the items that earn the most per cubic foot. The line under the figure says how many sends were cut. Items with no size recorded are listed as size missing and are not counted, so the real space used can be higher. With no limit typed, nothing is cut.
