Connect Walmart (beta)

The Walmart Marketplace beta connects a Walmart sandbox account only, read-only, so you can see Walmart orders land in Skuvelo before production access exists.

Walmart Marketplace is in an open beta and connects a Walmart sandbox account only. It is listed on Integrations with a Beta pill, and it refuses production Walmart credentials until Walmart's production certification completes. Use it to try the connection with Walmart's test data; your live Walmart store cannot be connected yet.

Before you start

You need the owner or admin role in Skuvelo, and a Walmart Developer Portal login. In the portal, open API Keys, choose the Sandbox tab, and copy the sandbox Client ID and Client Secret. A demo workspace cannot connect Walmart.

Connecting

  1. On Integrations, open the Walmart Marketplace card and choose Connect Walmart. The connect page is also at /app/settings/integrations/connect-walmart.
  2. Paste the sandbox Client ID and Client Secret.
  3. Choose Connect Walmart sandbox.

Skuvelo checks the pair with a read-only request to Walmart's sandbox before it saves anything. If Walmart rejects it, you will see why and nothing is stored. Once it is accepted, the credentials are kept in your workspace's encrypted credential storage and never shown again. To change them, paste a new pair on the same page; the existing connection keeps its history.

What syncs

  • Orders. Walmart purchase orders appear on Orders with Walmart as the channel. The first sync looks back 30 days; later syncs pick up new and changed orders.
  • Items. Skuvelo reads your Walmart item list so that each Walmart SKU matches the product with the same SKU in Skuvelo. A Walmart SKU with no match is left unmatched rather than guessed.

Nothing is written back. Skuvelo does not change inventory, prices, order status or acknowledgements on Walmart during the beta.

If Walmart rejects your credentials

If Walmart stops accepting the stored credentials, the connection is marked as failing on Integrations and Skuvelo asks you to reconnect it. Paste a fresh sandbox pair on the connect page to restore it. You can disconnect it from Integrations like any other connection.
