Talk through a PO with your team first

Post comments on a purchase order's own page so your team can settle open questions before anyone acts on it.

A purchase order is often one open question away from being ready to send, so every purchase order has its own Conversation — a comment thread on the order's own page, right below its details.

Post a comment

Open the order under Purchasing and scroll to Conversation. Type into Add a comment and click Post comment. Each comment can be up to 2,000 characters; as you get close to the limit, Skuvelo counts down the characters you have left.

Everyone else who's part of the order — whoever created it and whoever can approve it — is notified when you post, so a question doesn't sit unread until someone happens to open the order.

Removing your own comment

You can Remove a comment you posted yourself, but only for ten minutes after you post it. After that window, it becomes part of the order's permanent record and can't be taken back — anyone reading the thread later sees "Comment removed by its author" in its place if you did delete it in time.

Unread comments

If a purchase order has a comment you haven't read yet, its row on the purchase orders list carries an unread badge, so a new question on an order you already reviewed doesn't get missed. Opening the order's Conversation marks the thread read for you.
