Report damage from the floor

Warehouse staff can flag damaged or missing stock without touching the count themselves - an owner, admin, or planner decides what actually posts.

A shop-floor role can see that something is wrong with stock without being able to change the count outright. Skuvelo splits the two: reporting a difference and approving it are different permissions, so nothing moves stock until someone with the authority to do so has looked at it.

Report a difference

On Adjustments, click "+ Report a difference". Choose the item and location, enter the quantity (a minus sign for units that are missing or damaged, a positive number for units found), pick a reason, and add a note saying what happened. A photo is optional but helpful - attach one from the device's camera.

Submitting does not touch stock. It creates a pending request that sits "Awaiting approval" until an owner, admin, or planner acts on it.

What the approver sees and can do

An owner, admin, or planner sees every pending request on the same Adjustments screen, with the SKU, location, reason, quantity, who reported it, when, and the photo if one was attached. They can:

  • Approve - post the adjustment. The quantity can be corrected before approving if what actually needs posting differs from what was reported.
  • Reject - nothing is posted to stock. A reason is required, and the person who reported it can see why it was declined.

Nothing here changes the count until one of those two actions happens.

Requesting a transfer instead

If the fix is sending the stock elsewhere rather than adjusting a count, floor staff can also start a transfer. It is created as a draft and stays awaiting release until someone with full inventory management releases it - the same origination-then-approval split as a reported difference, just for a different action.

Try the plan on your own stock.
