Using the Skuvelo app

The installed app is not the website in a frame. When you deliberately download an app you expect it to behave like one, so the app has its own launch screen, its own navigation, and flows built for one thumb. Everything it shows and everything it changes is the same workspace, through the same rules — there is no separate "app data".

Opening Skuvelo in your phone's browser is unchanged. The website looks and works exactly as it always has on a phone; only the installed app is different.

The five tabs

• Today — the same figures as the dashboard, as cards you scroll. Each card that needs a decision names it and takes you straight there.
• Work — your queue: what is waiting on a decision, which orders are due to be received, and which items are due to be counted, the same items Inventory → Cycle Counts lists. The counts beside each heading are the same numbers the full screens show.
• Scan — the round button in the middle. Point the camera at a SKU or barcode and the item opens. On a count or a transfer, scan from that screen instead: there the scan records against the line you are on.
• Stock — your items, the same list as Inventory.
• Me — Notifications, help, settings, and sign out.

Approving a purchase order from your pocket

Open Work, tap the order, and the decision rises from the bottom of the screen with the amount it commits. Approve it, or hold it and say what needs to change — which sends it back to draft with your reason on its approval history.

It is the same approval the website performs: the same limits, the same bands, the same record. If your workspace requires a second approver, the app says so in the same words.

Alerts on your phone

If you have turned on phone and browser alerts for a signal in Settings → Notifications, the app asks for notification permission the first time you open it and then delivers those alerts to your phone. Tapping one opens the record it is about.

Signing out turns this device's alerts off. Nothing else about your alert settings changes, and your other devices are unaffected.

Pull down to refresh

Pull down at the top of any screen to reload it. The app also refreshes by itself when you come back to it after more than five minutes away, so figures you have not looked at in a while are never stale.

What you still do on a computer

Nothing is hidden from the app, but wide tables — the planning grid, reports, the full Purchasing worklist — are far easier on a larger screen. The app is built for the decisions and the capture you do while walking around.
