Control what your AI assistant can do
Set how long an unused AI connection lasts, take a capability away without disconnecting, and read the weekly report of what each assistant did.
A connected AI assistant works inside the role of the person who connected it. It can read what they can read, and anything it writes is a draft waiting for a human. Connect your AI is where you decide how much of that stays true over time.
Unused connections are disconnected. By default, an AI connection nobody has used for 90 days is disconnected automatically. Seven days before that, the person who connected it and your owners are told, and anyone who still wants it can press Keep connected — that restarts the clock. Owners can change the window, or turn it off, from Disconnect AI connections idle for on the same screen.
Why it is on: the risky connection is the one everybody forgot. An assistant someone tried in March and stopped using still holds a live key to your inventory, suppliers and purchasing until somebody remembers to take it back.
Take a capability away without disconnecting. Each connection lists what it can do in plain English. Remove next to a capability takes it away immediately — the next thing the assistant tries in that area is refused, while everything else keeps working. Use it when an assistant should keep answering questions but stop drafting purchase orders.
Removing is one-way on purpose. To give a capability back, the person who owns the connection reconnects from their assistant and approves it again, because granting access is theirs to agree to, not something that should quietly reappear.
The weekly report. Once a week, owners and admins get one message per connected assistant: what it read, what it changed, and how many of its calls were refused over the last seven days. The numbers are the same ones on the connection's row, and See what it did opens the full trail. Turn it off like any other alert, under Settings › Notifications › *Weekly AI activity report*.
If a connection was disconnected for being idle, nothing was lost — the assistant simply has no access any more. Reconnect it from that assistant's own settings and approve it again, and it picks up where it left off.
