Receive a delivery from a supplier, in full or in part
Record a supplier delivery against its purchase order, in full or in part, so the stock goes on hand and the rest stays due.
Last updated
When a delivery from your supplier arrives, record it against the purchase order it belongs to. What you receive goes on hand as an audited stock movement, and anything the supplier hasn't sent yet keeps the order open.
Receiving needs the Owner, Admin or Warehouse role. Other roles can see the order but not the Receive button.
Receive the whole delivery
- Open the order from Purchasing → Receiving, or find it under Purchasing.
- Click Receive. Each line starts at its full remaining quantity.
- Check the quantities against what arrived and confirm.
The order's status becomes Received, and the units are on hand straight away.
An order that also has non-inventory lines (freight, fees, deposits) shows Receive / confirm instead of Receive. It confirms those lines as complete at the same time.
Receive part of a delivery
If only some of the order arrived, lower each line to the quantity that actually came in and confirm. Only those units go on hand. The order's status becomes Partially received, and it stays open for the rest. In Purchasing its next step reads Resolve remaining receipt.
When the rest arrives, open the same order and click Receive again. Each line starts at what is still outstanding, not at the original quantity. Every receipt is a separate entry in the order's Receiving history, with who received it and when.
Damaged, rejected or extra units
You can split each line into accepted, damaged and rejected quantities, record a cost variance with a note, and attach photos. If more arrived than you ordered, enter the real quantity: Skuvelo asks you to confirm it as an over-receipt and flags the line for review. It never quietly records fewer units than you entered. On an order that also has non-inventory lines, receive up to what is outstanding and record any extra units as an adjustment. Creating and managing purchase orders explains each of these in full.
Stock from one of your own locations
Stock sent from another of your own locations is received against its transfer, not a purchase order. See Moving stock between locations.
