Returns that start in your sales channel

When a return starts in your sales channel, Skuvelo drafts it for you. You don't have to find the sale and type it in by hand. The draft waits on Returns & RTV labelled "From Shopify · review" (or "From Amazon · review") until someone confirms it.

What creates a draft

• Shopify. A return request, an approved return, or a restocking event that puts items back into stock. A price adjustment or a goodwill credit that restocks nothing does not create a draft — Skuvelo is not processing the money side of the transaction here, only what comes back to the shelf.
• Amazon, merchant-fulfilled orders. Returns from Amazon's returns report, picked up on the regular schedule Amazon reporting already runs on.
• Amazon, FBA orders. Amazon handles these returns in its own warehouses, so Skuvelo only records them. It does not create a draft.

A draft names the sale, the items and quantities, and the channel's reason for the return. It never records who bought it. The same event arriving twice never creates two drafts.

Confirm or dismiss

Open the draft from Returns & RTV.

• Confirm return starts the normal return flow: the item comes back to you, you receive it, inspect it and decide what happens to it.
• Dismiss closes the draft, for example when nothing is coming back. Your history records that it was dismissed and who did it.

A draft moves no stock. Stock changes only when you record the items as received.

Good to know

• Shopify stores that connected before this feature shipped pick up these drafts too, with no reconnecting and nothing to turn on.
• If you already raised a return by hand for the same items, the channel's event is recorded but no duplicate draft is made.
• eBay, BigCommerce and Wix returns are not drafted yet. Raise those by hand with "Raise a return".
