Adding a warehouse or bin location

Add a warehouse or bin as a stock location so Skuvelo can track on-hand there and plan for it.

Last updated

Every place you keep stock is a location: a warehouse, a bin inside a warehouse, or a fulfillment network such as Amazon AWD or Walmart WFS. On-hand and per-location reorder settings hang off a location, so create it before you record anything there.

Add a location

  1. Open Locations and find the Manage locations card.
  2. Choose + Add location.
  3. Enter a Location name — for example "Main Warehouse" or "Aisle 3".
  4. Choose a Kind: Warehouse, Store, Bin, Printer / framer, Amazon AWD, or Walmart WFS.
  5. Set the Hierarchy level and Functional type if the defaults do not fit.
  6. Optionally choose a Parent location — a bin under its warehouse, for example. The parent must sit at a shallower hierarchy level.
  7. Choose Create location.

For a warehouse you can also tick Require every line scanned before an order ships from here.

Only an owner, admin, or warehouse role can add or edit locations. Other roles see the list but not the form.

Rename or retire a location

Pick the location from Edit existing… on the same card to rename it or change its settings. Deactivate location retires it without deleting its history.
